What to watch this weekend in sports

2017.01.21 06:32

The NFL’s conference championship games are this weekend, but that’s not all.

Here is what you’ll want to watch this weekend in sports:

The Dayton Flyers are back on the court Sunday.

Archie Miller’s crew plays host to Saint Louis at 2 p.m. on CBS Sports Network.

Saturday there are three college basketball games featuring two ranked teams.

No. 2 Louisville is at No. 10 Florida State on ESPN at 2 p.m.

At 4, flip it over to CBS to see No. 14 Arizona play at No. 3 UCLA, and at 6 p.m. ESPN has No. 24 South Carolina at No. 5 Kentucky.

Saturday night there is a marquee NBA game.

The defending champion Cleveland Cavaliers host the San Antonio Spurs at 8:30 on ABC.

The 33-9 Spurs are 2.5 games ahead of LeBron’s crew (30-11) in the race for home-court advantage in the NBA Finals (though both are chasing the Warriors, who are 36-6).

But if you still can’t shake that football habit...

The NFL network will have the East-West Shrine Game at 3 p.m. on Saturday.

Notable players include former UC quarterback Gunner Kiel and Arizona receiver Trey Griffey, Ken Jr.’s son.

Oh yeah, and there’s that NFL thing.

The Falcons host the Packers at 3:05 on Sunday afternoon.

After that, flip it over to CBS to see the Steelers try to deny Tom Brady and the Patriots another shot at the Lombardi Trophy.
